It is urgent that Rosemont residents attend this upcoming meeting to discuss the county redistricting status for the Rosemont Community. More details below.
In November 2024, Orange County voters approved a charter amendment to expand the number of commission districts from six to eight. To implement this change, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners will undertake a redistricting process to establish new district boundaries and incorporate the two additional districts. To support this effort, the Board formed the 2025 Mid-Decennial Redistricting Advisory Committee in January 2025. We are encouraging all Rosemont residents to attend the upcoming meetings about expanding the number of commission districts from 6 to 8. This change in the number of commissions could potentially change Rosemont from District 2. We are asking all residents to please attend tbe meeting on April 2nd to advocate for our community to either remain in District 2 or be a part of the new district for Winter Park, which includes College Park and Maitland.
Hope to see all of you on April 2nd at the John Bridges Community Center in Apopka.
